Over fifty researchers across Europe, including a team from the Olomouc Law School, are brought together by the European Network on Digitalization and E-governance (ENDE) project, which aims to conduct interdisciplinary research on the ongoing digital transformation and its impact on European integration. The position of the Faculty of Law within the ENDE project is reflected in the fact that the kick-off meeting was held in Olomouc.

Tallinn University of Technology in Estonia coordinates the three-year project, which brings together experts in law, political science, economics, history, media studies, and international relations. The ENDE consortium comprises 13 partners from Estonia, the Czech Republic, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Finland, Slovakia, Poland, Latvia, Slovenia and Turkey. The Faculty of Law is a key partner in disseminating research results and raising public awareness of digital transformation issues.

The Olomouc team is led by Václav Stehlík and Ondrej Hamuľák, both from the Department of International and European Law. Ondrej Hamuľák considers the participation of the Faculty of Law in this consortium a success and a great opportunity to penetrate the European research area. "Personally, I am very happy that the first ever meeting of the consortium members, which started its activities in September this year, took place in Olomouc. The aim of the two-day intensive programme was to set up the management and life cycle of the project, but most importantly to create links, get to know each other's consortium members and discuss further possibilities for cooperation. I consider ENDE not only as a project for the next three years, but also as a platform for intensive project cooperation in the future," said Ondrej Hamuľák, Vice Dean for Science and Research of the Faculty of Law.

The inaugural working meeting was held at the Faculty of Law on October 9-10. The ENDE project is funded under the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Actions program (ERASMUS-JMO-2023-NETWORKS).
