Street Law
The key principle of Street Law is cooperation between a faculty of law and primary schools, high schools, public institutions and the non-profit sector. Law students supervised by university lecturers teach various seminars for the public. The aim is to convey basic understanding of law and values to general public as well as to help law students to talk about law in accessible and comprehensible manner with laic society.
The Centre for Clinical Legal Education currently offers several Street Law programmes to Master Degree students:
- Street Law 1 and 2: In this course students teach law in primary and secondary schools and high schools and in the NGOs as part of the mandatory courses – social sciences and civics.
- Street Law for French: Since autumn 2020 the Centre will also offer a French modification of the Street Law programme within which French speaking foreign students will teach basics of law in primary and secondary schools and high schools and in the NGOs as part of French classes.
- High School Moot Court Competition: It is a competition for high school students who take part under the supervision of law students in a simulated proceedings before the ECtHR (for further details see separate bookmark).
