- providing the teaching of specified courses.
Centre for International Humanitarian and Operational Law (CIHOL) was established jointly by the Palacký University Faculty of Law and the Czech Armed Forces as a result of a longstanding and fruitful cooperation between the two institutions in the area of international humanitarian law and related fields of international law. The interconnection between IHL focused academia and practice makes the Centre unique in the Central European context.
The Centre creates conditions for the development of science and research at the Faculty. It specifically informs academic employees about current grant opportunities for their scholarly and other creative activities. It also provides methodical support and help with searching for grant opportunities, processing and submitting grant applications, implementation of grants awarded, organizing conferences and seminars, and ensuring the publication activities of the Faculty. The office of the Head of the Science and Research Support Centre is held by the Vice-Dean for Science and Research.
